These Two Day Stone Setting Courses are intensive and professional courses that teach the foundations of setting and develop the skills that are needed when beginning a full-time career in the Jewellery and Goldsmith industry.
Skills Learned but not limited to ...
- Gemstone Shapes that may be bezel (rubover) set. A brief introduction before the practical bench practice.
- A selection of gemstones and pre-made settings are available for you to select.
- Our Tutor will show you the methods to set your stones.
- Practice time is offered before starting on your finished piece.
- All pieces are finished and polished with you to wear by the end of the course.
- Your Silver settings are included along with a Silver chain - 16", 18" or 20" available to choose.
Our Courses run from 10am - 5.30pm, both days, and we will provide tea & coffee. As we are City Centre based, there are many lunch venues available in the close vicinity with the new outdoor seating area on South Anne Street added recently. All copper and silver materials are included and we will have pre-made designs in silver that may be used for Champlevée.
